Membership is not restricted to annuitants. Current employees are welcome to join the association and support our programs.

Preserving Pension and Health Care Benefits
The Illinois State University Annuitants Association (ISUAA) is the ISU chapter of the State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA). The SUAA has 15,000 members, a strong group of retired faculty and staff, spouses, survivors, and current faculty and staff who are participants in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).

Focus
The primary focus of SUAA is preserving the pension and health care benefits of members. By being a member, you are helping SUAA/ISUAA advocate on your behalf. Numbers count!
A dedicated SUAA staff in Springfield monitors issues affecting members and provides active lobbying and collaboration with other public retiree organizations on behalf of members. Grass roots local influence is exerted by individual chapters, which exist in every senatorial/legislative district. SUAAction, a political action committee, uses donated funded to increase the visibility of SUAA with public officials across the state.

- Survivor advocacy team that assists survivors of members navigate the red tape that follows the death of a retiree

How to Join
Membership includes both the ISU Annuitants Association (ISUAA) and the State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA). Effective January 1, 2020 annual dues will be $46. $39 is for SUAA dues, and $7 is for ISUAA dues.
